Tree Preservation Orders: Consultation Document
The Department for Communities and Local Government has launched a new consultation document for tree preservation order entitled Tree Preservation Order: Proposals for Streamlining - Consultation.
The proposals seek to consolidate the legal provisions within the regulations and tree preservation orders (TPO) in England into one set of new regulations.
It is also proposed to introduce revisions to streamline the TPO system and make it a fairer system and simpler for tree owners to use. Additionally it will also reduce the administrative burden on Locla Planning Authorities.
