BSi has proposed a new &lt;/font&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5YQTC7T"&gt;&lt;font face="arial"&gt;British Standard BS8545&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;font face="arial"&gt;, a code of practice for trees from nursery to landscape.  The standard will encompass tree production, dispatch, storage, transplanting and maintenance/aftercare until established in the landscape.  The standard will aim to recognise this as a conjoined process rather than the disjointed one that it currently is, to increase the success rate of tree planting and establishment.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font face="arial"&gt;&lt;/font&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font face="arial"&gt;The standards drafting group lead by Keith Sacre (Barcham Trees) has prepared a brief questionnaire as its first step in its on going consultation process. Peter said "&lt;em&gt;the past few years and specifically few months have been a real test to complete the &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;written&lt;/span&gt; work and also in preparation for the final interview.
